Our Mission
Wesley UMC, through the foundation, seeks to be part of Christ’s family bound together in our concern for each other, our community, and for the peoples of the world.
As our mission, we wish to encourage the Christian stewardship of accumulated, inherited, and appreciated resources. It is understood that special gifts and bequests should not take the place of faithful stewardship of current income to Wesley. Gifts made to the Foundation shall contribute to the release of Christian love into the world.
Our Purpose
Our purpose is to establish procedures for the procurement, management, and disposition of funds or other properties, which are contributes to the Foundation through various ways including, but not limited to:
- Bequests by will
- Charitable remainder trusts
- Life income gifts
- Assignment of life insurance
- Stocks and bonds
- Transfers of property
- Grants and/or funds solicited from other agencies
- Cash Gifts
- Memorial donations in honor of a person or organization
All such gifts will be administered in accordance with the Fresno Wesley Foundation Charter and the Foundation Investment Guidelines. Where possible, the Foundation practices socially responsible investing.
