SSP spaghetti success

I just wanted everyone to know that the spaghetti lunch fundraiser was a great success.  Thanks to everyone who bought tickets, enjoyed the time of food and fellowship, and helped with logistics.  The event raised $1,318 toward the youth mission trip this summer in Oregon.

Wesley pride contingent

Mark your calendars!  Wesley will be marching as a contingent in Fresno pride again this year.  The parade is on Saturday, June 2nd, at 10am.  We usually gather around 9am at the staging area on Palm and Olive.  Come one.  Come all.  Help us march with our GLBTQ+ brothers and sisters and help spread the word that Wesley United Methodist Church is a place where ALL MEANS ALL!  Please reach out to Pastor Karen at karen@wesleyfresno.org for more information and details.

Uniting Together: Many Gifts, One Spirit

The United Methodist Women of the Central Valley District enjoyed their annual retreat at the Episcopal Conference Center Oakhurst (ECCO) on March 9 – 11, 2018. For the past year, numerous women from throughout the district volunteered to be part of the team to plan, staff, and facilitate this amazing retreat. Over sixty women enjoyed three days of spiritual growth, community-building, excellent food, good fun, and lots and lots of singing all in the fresh, mountain air.

The group of ten women from Wesley UMC was recognized for having the most women in attendance from one church. Feel free to ask them to share about their experiences. Mark your calendar to attend the next retreat in 2019. And don’t let money be an issue – there are always scholarships available!

You’ll be glad you did!
