Wesley deeply values the contributions of our choirs and music groups who provide us with meaningful worship.
Aldersgate Choir, Wesley’s adult choir, (which welcomes youth singers as well) rehearses on Thursday evenings from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. The Aldersgate Choir sings music in a variety of styles from classical to gospel, contemporary to international. Choir sings at both the 8:30 and 11:00 a.m. Sunday services (exiting the 11:00 service just before the sermon). Special music is performed at Christmas and Easter. Contact Music Director Elizabeth Layous (559-322-0971) for more information.
Wesley Bronze Bell Choir
Wesley Bronze, a handbell choir with choir chimes, rehearses at 9:45 a.m. on Sunday mornings in the Choir Room (behind the sanctuary). Wesley Bronze plays at least once per month for worship services and also at a variety of community events. For information about Wesley Bronze give the church office a call at 224-1947.
Other Groups & Ensembles
Other groups and ensembles of singers and instrumentalists form from time to time. These groups and soloists are especially needed during the summer months when the Aldersgate Choir is on summer break, and their special music is used for worship. Youth musicians are especially welcome in the summer months and on Christmas eve. If you have a musical gift to share, contact Music Director Elizabeth Layous (322-0971) about opportunities and information.
